New Facilities and Technologies

The New Health Care is new facilities and technologies. Since 2010, with the support of Steward Health Care, Saint Anne’s has launched more than $100 million in new facilities and technologies, including:

Facilities:Pavilion Check In

  • New in 2013: transition to private inpatient rooms with the addition of a multi-story, 60,000-square-foot patient pavilion with 40 all-private patient rooms. This significant project has allowed us to create private rooms throughout the hospital and expand our warm and welcoming environment for patients and their families.
  • An all-new emergency room with 27 private rooms.
  • New spacious operating rooms to accommodate today’s surgical technologies.
  • A medical office building to house Steward Health Care Network primary care and specialty care medical practices for adults and children.

Technologies:

MAKO in OR

  • Intensive care: eICU technology provides critically ill patients with an added layer of care by combining cutting edge technology and clinical expertise.
  • Surgical: MAKOplasty joint replacement and joint resurfacing technology. This robotic-arm technology offers greater precision and faster recovery than traditional orthopedic procedures.
  • Cardiac: State-of-the-art echocardiography suite.
  • Electronic health records.
  • Innovative, interactive touch-screen hospital directories in three languages (English, Portuguese, Spanish).
